The Ombudsman in Central Macedonia
The Ombudsman Andreas Pottakis, accompanied by staff members of the Independent Authority has carried out a visit in the Region of Central Macedonia in November 20-24.
The Ombudsman meets with representatives of stakeholders and State Agencies in Thessaloniki to be informed on issues causing distress to citizens, as they appear through their complaints.
Staff members of the Independent Authority also visit the Regional Compartments of Thessaloniki, Serres and Chalkidiki where take part in meetings and spot checks in areas of particular interest from the point of view of human rights, public health, public administration, environmental protection, etc.
This is the third regional visit this year for the Ombudsman, following Northern Aegean and Epirus. This first round of regional visits will be concluded at the end of 2018, when the Ombudsman celebrates (concludes) twenty years of operation.
