- The Ombudsman’s visit to Moscow
Closer cooperation for the protection of human rights was at the epicentre of the Ombudsman’s visit to Moscow. The Greek Ombudsman Andreas Pottakis, a guest of his Russian counterpart Tatiana Moskalkova, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, gave a speech at the international conference held in Moscow on 8 November 2018 on the strengthening of cooperation between Ombudsmen for the protection of human rights in the strategic region of Eurasia. -

- National programme for the storage of stem cells proposed by the Ombudsman
The immediate drafting of a national programme for the storage of umbilical cord blood (UCB) and a coordinated campaign to inform the public of its importance on the basis of the principle of social solidarity, has been proposed by the Ombudsman. -

- The Ombudsman in Peloponnese
Members of the Ombudsman staff set off on a visit in the Region of Peloponnese on Monday, November 12. They carried out investigations and mediations relevant to citizens’ complaints as well as meetings with local stakeholders, representatives of civil society as well as complainants. -

- A study on the relocation of asylum seekers was presented to the International Ombudsmen Institute (IOI)
The Greek Ombudsman, Andreas Pottakis, presented his assessment on the relocation programme for asylum seekers which ran between September 2015 and September 2017, during the recent meeting of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) in Brussels, where he participates in the capacity of Regional Director. -

- Visit in the Region of Sterea Ellada
Staff members of the Greek Ombudman visited the Region of Sterea Ellada from the 18th to the 21st of September. They conducted spot checks and investigations relevant to citizens' complaints, as well as working meetings with local bodies and representatives of civil society.
