    - Ombudsman’s proposal for amendment of the PPC arrears settlement programme (Public Power Corporation)
    Citizens appealed to the Ombudsman requesting inclusion in the PPC arrears settlement programme, which had been under way since April of 2016. In particular, they protested against the rejection of their application for inclusion in the 36-instalment settlement, because of previous power supply discontinuation. The Ombudsman addressed the PPC asking that customers, who already had a settlement of their overdue obligations under the previous conditions, be able to benefit from the recent more favourable terms, while stressing that it is important to give equal opportunities to customers who fulfil the same criteria. The PPC failed to respond to the Ombudsman’s document, although the settlement programme was extended till the end of the year. However, the PPC has announced a new settlement programme for 2017

    - Special report: Coastal zone management
    In September 2013, the Greek Ombudsman submitted a special report, which outlines the maladministration problems, related to the management of the coastal zone. The findings of the Greek Ombudsman, were based on the investigation of numerous complains which were related to: the statutory deadlines within which the determination procedure must be completed, the management, the exploitation and the environmental protection of the coastal zone.
