Evanthia Savvidi

 

Evanthia Savvidi is an Attorney at Law at the Athens Bar Association since 2001. She has studied at the Faculty of Law of the University of Athens and holds an Msc in Philosophy of Law from this Faculty. She is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law of the University of Thrace (public Law and political Science). She has been working since 2003 as a legal adviser on public procurement, administrative, state aid and European law providing legal support and advice to Greek contracting authorities and authorities implementing co-financed programs. She has also handled citizens complaints on maladministration and non conformity of state aid acts with national and EU law.
She has been, since 2013 until her appointment as a Deputy Ombudsman, Head of Legal Services Directorate of Hellenic Single Public Procurement Authority, member of the Committee responsible for drafting the bill on the reform of public procurement and concessions rules in Greece (incl. the implementation of the new EU directives), a national expert on public procurement and an educator at the National Center for Public Administration and Local Government.
