  - The Greek Ombudsman and the Slovenian Human Rights Ombudsman briefed the Parliament on the Rights of People with Disabilities
  
  The Greek Ombudsman Andreas Pottakis together with his counterpart Peter Svetina, Slovenian Human Rights Ombudsman and the Assistant Ombudsman, Ivan Selih, who were on an official visit to Greece, briefed the members of the Standing Committee on Public Order and Justice and the Subcommittee on People with Disabilities of the Special Permanent Committee on Equality, Youth and Human Rights of the Hellenic Parliament.

  - The Greek Ombudsman elected first for the Board of Directors of IOI-Europe
  
  The Greek Ombudsman Andreas Pottakis was re-elected to the Board of Directors of IOI-Europe (International Ombudsman Institute- European Region). In the recent elections of the IOI-Europe, Mr Pottakis was elected first among his counterparts in IOI’s European region, which has more than 80 counterpart institutions and is the larger part of the international network of Ombudsmen. In accordance with IOI by-laws, the election of Mr Andreas Pottakis in the first place means his automatic participation in the Board of the International Network, in which all the continents are represented, as well as his strong candidature for the Presidency of the European division.

  - Cultural and environmental degradation of Meteora
  
  The Ombudsman examined complaints raising a wide range of environmental issues regarding the area of Meteora and addressed the administration, asking for legal procedures to be followed. The issues raised were arbitrary building works in Holy Monasteries, land clearance, road works, waste water discharges and waste disposal. During the course of the investigation, issues of insufficient protection of the site were highlighted.

  - Comments on the draft law of the Ministry of Citizen Protection on international protection
  
  The Ombudsman Andreas Pottakis sent on 23-10-2019 the comments of the Independent Authority on the draft Law on International Protection to the Minister of Citizen Protection and the competent committee of the Parliament.

  - Free passage of the unemployed from the toll stations of Egnatia Odos SA
  
  Following an intervention of the Ombudsman, Egnatia Odos S.A. has now correctly implemented Decision No DNS/oik.84646/fn393/27-11-2017 of the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport and authorised free passage from their toll stations of vehicles belonging to the unemployed upon presentation of a valid unemployment card.
