The role of the Greek Ombudsman in its 15 years of operation - Symposium 12 and 13 November 2013, Auditorium of the Acropolis Museum
The Greek Ombudsman, with the support of the Council of Europe, organised a two-day venue (symposium) celebrating its 15th anniversary, on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th November 2013. The venue took place the auditorium of the Acropolis Museum.
From 1998, when it commenced its operations, until today, the challenge for the Greek Ombudsman has been to be the symbol for a new relationship between citizens and the state - a new public administration with renewed ethos, style and the ability to meet citizens’ needs. According to the Greek Ombudsman, Ms Calliope Spanou, this endeavour is still ongoing.
The conference minutes have been published also with the support of the Council of Europe.
The following video contains a selection of snapshots from the Ombudsman’s journey from its inauguration in 1998 up to 2013.
